The genesis of this adapter stems from a project entirely developed in a CAD Fusion360 environment and produced with FDB (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology.
Our objective was to create an element that was simultaneously distinctive, functional, and more affordable than existing market solutions.
The AEG|NAB Adapter: A Modular Design
Every BirdBox Records AEG|NAB adapter embodies an innovative design, conceived as a modular system made up of three distinct elements: the Base, the AEG|NAB Adapter, and the Cover.
We have developed an intelligent design that harmoniously integrates lightness and solidity, drawing direct inspiration from the original concept of the adapters used on the iconic Studer C37-J37 recorders from 1960.
These models originally employed an AEG-DIN plastic adapter for pancakes, specifically engineered not to burden the motors. We have adopted and refined this very system, further elevating the quality and aesthetics of the final product.
The Modular Design of the Base
The Base, primarily designed for the packaging of our prestigious Supreme Master Tape, reveals surprising versatility.
It can also be elegantly used, for instance, as a wall mount for stably housing the adapter itself, simply by applying a touch of glue.
