

Pericle Odierna
Composer, multi-instrumentalist, and Globo d'Oro winner, Pericle Odierna is one of the most eclectic and cinematic voices in the contemporary music scene.
Education and Academic Roots
Born in St. Albans (Great Britain) in 1965, Pericle Odierna completed his musical education in Italy. He graduated in clarinet from the State Conservatory of Music in Salerno under the guidance of Maestro Salvatore Angrisani, while deeply expanding his studies in composition with Maestro Gianni Desidery. Between 1992 and 1993, he broadened his artistic horizons by attending advanced courses at the C.P.M. in Siena, alongside various seminars dedicated to chamber music ensembles.
Cinema, Theatre, and Major Orchestral Works
A multi-instrumentalist of versatile talent, Odierna has always balanced his career as a performer with that of a producer and composer for cinema, television, and theatre. Over the last twenty years, he has significantly intensified his production in the field of film scores, also creating major live and orchestral projects:

"Experiences": His solo and live project, published by Heristal Entertainment, has been showcased at prestigious festivals (including Atina Jazz) and featured a special guest appearance by the renowned mathematician Piergiorgio Odifreddi during the Naples performance.

"Pinocchio e la sua favola" (Pinocchio and his tale): A work for narrator and orchestra included in the repertoire of the Carabinieri Band (Fanfara dell’Arma dei Carabinieri). Orchestrated by the author, it has been performed in Florence, Collodi, Brindisi, and at Milan’s Teatro Dal Verme for the opening of the 2021 season.

"Concerto Fotogramma": A curated selection of Odierna’s finest film scores, performed by the composer himself as a soloist, accompanied by the Milan Carabinieri Band and the COF of Milan in July 2022 at the iconic Sforza Castle (Castello Sforzesco) for the Estate Milanese.

World Premiere at the Pantheon: In July 2021, a custom-composed original piece was premiered inside the Pantheon in Rome by the Nuova Orchestra Scarlatti, celebrating the Feast of Saint Benedict, Patron Saint of Europe.
