TERMS AND CONDITIONS & SERVICE LIMITATIONS (DISCLAIMER)
The service provided by BBR Vinyl Clinic - Professional Vinyl Restoration Service is an advanced technical restoration process performed with precision instrumentation. However, due to the variable nature of vinyl polymers and different causes of damage, the acceptance of the service implies the understanding and acceptance of the following clauses:
1. Result Guarantee and Physical Limits
-
Nature of the Media: The success of the flattening process is strictly related to the initial degree of warp, the age of the record, and the quality of the PVC used during pressing.
-
No Guarantee of Absolute Perfection: Bird Box Records does not guarantee the restoration of 100% absolute planarity on every disc. Certain structural deformations, such as those caused by localized extreme heat or manufacturing defects (e.g., excessive "edge warps"), may be reduced but not totally eliminated.
-
Sonic Integrity: Thermal treatment acts on the macroscopic structure of the disc and cannot repair scratches, groove wear, or "pitting" damage already present on the media.
2. "Before & After" Transparency Protocol
-
Photographic Documentation: To ensure maximum transparency, BBR provides detailed photographic documentation of the record before and after the intervention. This report serves as evidence of the media's condition and the effectiveness of the treatment.
-
Preliminary Assessment: Should our technical staff deem a record "non-treatable" or at high risk of further damage, the customer will be notified promptly. In such cases, the service will not be performed, and a refund will be issued (excluding shipping costs).
3. Limitation of Liability
-
Pre-existing Damage: Bird Box Records cannot be held responsible for the breakage or degradation of records exhibiting latent micro-fractures or chemical instability of the PVC not detectable by visual inspection.
-
Ineligible Media: This service is exclusively for vinyl (PVC) records. BBR disclaims any liability for damage resulting from the submission of unsupported materials, such as Shellac (78 RPM), flexi-discs, or acetates.
