Supporto e Stampa: 140gr.
Format and Pressing: 140g Bio-Vinyl by Optimal
To combine sustainability with audiophile performance, we have chosen the 140g Bio-Vinyl, pressed by Optimal. The specific density of the Bio-compound ensures stable rotation and a drastic reduction in surface noise, allowing the dynamic nuances of Scarlatti's compositions to emerge with effortless naturalness.Thermal Stability: A 140-gram record cools more evenly and rapidly than a 180-gram one. This process allows the BioVinyl compound to stabilize perfectly, eliminating the risk of material micro-shrinkage that causes surface noise.
Groove Geometry: The 140g weight ensures optimal planarity of the support. A perfectly flat surface allows the stylus to track the groove with maximum linearity, drastically reducing mechanical distortion.
Transient Response: Thanks to the density achieved through 140g pressing, the vinyl delivers a faster and more precise response, which is essential for capturing the dynamic details of our full analog mastering.

Our goal was to convey, with the utmost clarity, the multifaceted and articulated interpretation offered by the performer, while capturing the true sonic impact of the Tamburini organ in the Sala Scarlatti in Naples, with its more than 4,000 pipes. We hope this intent reaches your ears, transporting you back to that authentic moment.
This album is a daring journey into the heart of Domenico Scarlatti’s music, reinterpreted through a modern lens. The versatile organist Livia Mazzanti moves away from a purely philological approach to 'transmute' the Sonatas—originally intended for the harpsichord—through the powerful and versatile voice of the instrument designed in the 1980s by Jean Guillou for the Naples Conservatory.
In an act of deep admiration and interpretative freedom, Mazzanti explores both the most intimate and the grandest nuances of Scarlatti’s work. She creates a dialogue between two keyboard virtuosos, both equally stateless and experimental. The imperfections of the instrument, currently awaiting restoration, bestow a poetic and fascinating character upon the sound, making this recording a unique testimony to the extraordinary balance between past and future, between Neapolitan soul and French genius.
